Enjoying California Geology

Hello Everyone,

I spent some time this weekend enjoying the geology of Catalina Island via Terra Server and I wanted to share it with you. If you would go to the link attached and type in your search area as AVALON, CA and select a map you will be taken over the City of Avalon on Catalina Island. (if you get a red dot, select zoom in) Please choose PAN and go NNW of the city and what you will see is nothing short of amazing. If you want to see an area that is twisted and torn, believe me, that's it. Honestly, please go and look.

I also wanted to mention that we had a little popcorn quake just four miles south of my abode yesterday. It was at Mt. Taylor which used to be an oozing volcano. It would be difficult to walk any field in this area and not trip over a decent rock with all the signature marks of flow layering. However, I doubt Mt. Taylor will be coming to life anytime in the near future. He's just caughing.
