You are right. Now itself measuring of magnitude of quake is differs from country to country
depending upon their own style of measurements. For e.g. India, Greece, Japan and US.

Hope Newton forgives me for my mistake. Thanks for the correction.

As mentioned since the enormous heat produced due to friction of mantle why it was unable to
noticed by any one of the satellite over Sumatra during that period?

Though I have little knowledge about the faults and plate tectonics, I don't think it will boost my knowledge in predicting quake which is advance to the plate movement.

And finally, with the help of today's earth movement, I have registered a similar pattern of
stress release for Dec.26th 2004 quake, may be hit Sumatra between 2-3N and 96-97E before 8th
of Jan. 06 and suspect around 31st Dec.05 or 1st Jan.06 are probable dates.
