Re: What about Santa Rosa?

Dear Petra and People,

Gosh, it's difficult to stay away from the eq prediction sites/USGS map...I must deplug. Yes, Mr. Berkland will certainly do the bookstore(s) at Santa Rosa. I had forgotten to mention that on Jan. 21 we are doing a back to back discussion/signing at Lake Tahoe. The 7:00 p.m. event will be at Neighbors in South Lake Tahoe; plus the Tahoe Daily Tribune is reviewing the book.
My game plan is to broaden our circle, bigger and bigger. We have at least four to five months to promote this book. Keep in mind I have to write for a living so Berkland may be traveling solo to some of the events. Plus, I have to consider the snow which may keep me home. (Snow? The sun is shining and it is very warm at Tahoe. Too strange for words.)
BTW: Publishers do a lot for the author. They spend thousands and thousands of dollars, time, and creative efforts throughout the publishing and marketing process. However, I am just one writer like one newborn child. It isn't possible or practical for one publisher to give all their attention to just one book.

Best,

Cal

P.S. One goal is for both Mr. Berkland and myself to go to Barnes and Noble stores in Washington and Hawaii. Note to self: Will arrange next week. The people in these areas need this book to help them heighten their earthquake/ tsunami/volcano preparedness awareness...just as Californians do. We have a way of forgetting what monster catastrophes can do in our own backyard.
