Hi Chris. What’s this? A scientist with a gut feeling? The odds aren’t exactly in your favor, but take a look at the last quake to occur in the area. It is located south of today’s quake all the rest are located to the north. There was one quake in 1992 that occurred in the area of today’s quake. There have been quite a few M=3.0 quakes with a couple of them occurring just prior to an M=5.0+ quake. There have also been one or two M=5.0+ quakes with no M=3.0 quakes prior to them in the immediate area. The odds are against you, but one never knows. Long shots do pay off at times.
