As I recall, there are two separate teams in California that *are* investigating the VAN method. One at UC Riverside (or some other university in Riverside, Calif) and the other team at UC Berkeley. And this was information from over a year ago. So it would seem to me that if other scientists are using the method, it has been opened up for cooperation-collaboration by other scientists. --- Dennis
