Re: Methodology Eval Request-Roger Hunter |
OK Roger, I am wondering now how precise such a study should be. Look at this one, a quake in Utah that is within three hours of the synodic syzygy/asyzygy linear time line. So should I construct a mathematical "neutral zone" because of the variation in the synodic time differentiation from month to month? That line changes, and I agree that it could get very excessive, but in the end, it could be very important. Say an 8.7Mw hits Seattle, I would need to know the differentiation and the significant figures to use. Otherwise, every kook in the world will be taking credit for predicting it. How would you judge this incident, based on the 50/50 math I have explained. The quake happened 88hours and 36.6 minutes after the syzygy, fixed by US Naval Observatory. The hour for the division is 88 and 33.6 minutes. Hang with me Roger.... 23.
