I have experienced these so-called eartones for years -- never thought much about it other than considered it a minor annoyance. It always occurs in one ear at a time (why is that? why not both ears?), last for a few seconds to almost a minute sometimes, often high-pitched. But I'm not so sure that I subsribe to the eartone theory espoused here -- sounds a little "hokey." However, with that said -- and just to hedge my bets -- I experienced one of these so-called eartones this afternoon while I was sitting watching the USC-UCLA game. It lasted about 10-15 seconds and, although my head may not be a radio antenna, Petra, it did seem to emanate from the southwest (I live in Las Vegas). And, no, it did not have any apparent connection to the TV being on at the time. Maybe Glen and I can triangulate the location...
