Monday Update
Posted by Dennis Gentry in Santa Clarita on June 12, 2000 at 18:31:35:

No new signals on my primary.

This morning 60% of my secondaries were active and this evening that number jumped up to 98%. The signal strength this evening was also up as well.

From the above, we have 1 of 3 possibilities in the next 4 days:

1) two or more M3+ events within 300 miles of Santa Clarita.

2) single M4+ within 300 miles of Santa Clarita.

3) M4+ in the Idaho/Wyoming/Montana/Northern Nevada/Utah areas.

Hopefully it will be number 1 above. But I'm not able to determine magnitude with these secondaries. That only comes with my primary. So I for one will play it safe for awhile and check up on everything.

I also understand that a geomagnetic storm is expected to begin on the 13th and continue on into the 14th. So the secondary activity may be related to this activity. So far, I really haven't seen a good corelation yet.

Dennis
