Dear Ernie, Love, Rosa Mae |
Dear Ernie, While things in gold mining may prove profitable for many, especially bartenders like you, there isn't enough money in all of California or Nevada to put up with the ground constantly on the move and I'm not talking about gold mining operations either. I almost lost my red light today and you know how much I cherish it. I brought it all the way from Paris. The girls said they are going to leave because they are afraid of the rats that come out of the ground just before those things they call earth quakes. Hi Don, Did you feel a page of history roll out before you? You should have. For those who are not in the know Ernie was one Ernest Marks of Bodie and Virginia City CA and Rosa Mae was the headmistress of the red light district in Bodie and just another one of the girls in Virginia City, when she lived on C Street. It was an oddly strange relationship these two enjoyed and the stories just keep rolling out, much like the earthquakes. However, as for Pincushion Peak, to be only a few miles and a couple of days off from hearing one single sound, one time only isn't that bad. It's not a hit,but a miss I'd love to enjoy almost any day....Petra 4.0 2005/11/21 01:33:11 38.063N 118.898W 14.7 19 km (12 mi) SSE of Bodie, CA Follow Ups: ● Re: Dear Ernie, Love, Rosa Mae - Don in Hollister 16:40:25 - 11/21/2005 (30879) (0) |
