The book, "A Dangerous Place: California's Unsettling Fate" is comprised of three chapters. The first two are factual -- the first chapter is about earthquakes and water in greater Los Angeles, the second about the Bay Area. The third chapter (the scenario of the 7.2 earthquake along the Hayward Fault) is fictional -- which only means it hasn't happened...yet.
