It took the 3rd freeze, last night, and this morning (nov 19) the 3 closest mulberry trees all ejected their leaves this morning...I noticed at about 8:30 AM eastern...about 1/2 were already gone. It had not started on the closest tree by 7:30 AM. It had been about -4 C this early morning, colder than the previous 2, which were about -2. There was absolutely no wind...and the larger trees leaves were dropping so fast I could hear the rustling noise as leaves hit branches on the way down. The road was carpetted in green leaves. Most of the leaves fell in about 1 hour...maybe 2 hours. And, probably almost every leaf, or maybe every leaf, will be gone by the end of the morning.
