Caltech Evaluations

Hi all

So I've been watching with interest this on going swarm of quakes going on in the West LA area, all within 3 mile radius of the Santa Monica airport. It started two weeks ago with a pair of 3.0 quakes and now has produced several small micro quakes. This area has not seen activity of this level possibly since instrumentation began?

So my question is, do you think Caltech is paying attention? Are they plotting them out? Do they have closed door discussions and make confidenttial hypothesis? Justt wondering....

I have to say I live up high. A 5.2 in Anza will sill create an interesting shaking sensation. The dual quakes of 2 weeks ago created 3 seconds of a sharp jolt. Any 3.5+ quake in that area is going to send the wine rack over and the glassed out of the cupboards for sure! So I'm not thinking a Big ONe here, just anticipating even a 4.0 and what it can do when you live up high and on top of it!
