Michael...people who need to know who I am on this board know who I am. I am Christopher Sorlien, a research geologist at UCSB who works now on active faults and folds offshore and coastal California, and am getting going in Marmara Sea Turkey. I work on paleo-climate in southern California and Ross Sea Antarctica...and also inactive faults and stratigraphy in Ross Sea. My web page is 5 years out of date...got to do something about that. I will remain "chris in suburbia" for similar reasons to Cathryn. If I used my full name a search could cause problems by seeing some of these threads out of context. I don't get paid if I don't get funded, and health insurance is becoming a serious issue. I would also be less likely to post some controversial stuff on active faulting, ear tones, whatever.
