Hi Russell, Well, you may not be hearing it, but earthquake faults generate electric sounds and unique to each one, just before they have earthquakes. Some sound a bit like music and others like fog horns, birds flapping their wings at fast speeds and even the sound of a finger on a wet wine glass rim. But most of the time they sound like electricity at varying levels. Big earthquakes sound like huge electric currents traveling down a wire and the small ones, much less. I can't reproduce them for you, but I can tell you people who live everywhere on earth have reported hearing them. I don't know if that helps or not....usually it just means more questions. Petra
