Alpha, Perfect storm |
Looks like the next one, Alpha, is forming in the Carribean. It is a tropical depression now...forecast to a tropical storm in the west Atlantic just ahead of Wilma. Both Wilma and Alpha are forecast to race off to the NE and not get caught up in near New England....but there is a low pressure area in the NE...would be interesting if the forecast is wrong, and like the Perfect Storm at the end of October 1991 (also know as the Halloween Horror), that the upper flow get cut-off and soak up both Wilma and Alpha. In the east, the computer models generally get the upper flow right a couple of days ahead of time...so I guess there will not be Perfect storm #2....
