Hi All, After throwing out a number of questions in several directions, this project would be ranked as pivotal in assessing the overall value in expense, research and expected results. However, as one thing always leads to the next, I found a friend who explained to me how science projects are funded. Though far and away different from the business world, it seems to work for them, though I can't say I approve. In this project we are talking about a six year budget with no guarantee that the money for the remainder of the twenty year study will be available. In six years will they know enough to know if they wish to continue? With inflation, funding another 6 years might be cost prohibitive, new members of Congress will be in the seats of power and perhaps what is likely today, will not be so in the future. Or maybe the opposite will be the case if those members have an interest in science projects, or the big one rolls though this state and the costs of the disaster may take science in a whole new direction. As to their denials that fluid injection is not going to happen in this project, we will only know for certain, when the project is underway. So as usual, more questions, some answers, but nothing is written in stone and what Congress choses to do, will be the final determination in the end anyway. Now the question remains, where are the other 3 Earthscope Projects to be located and what is their budget? Pat
