Hmm...not clear what you were asking or what the point of posting that was. I'd just get over it/not worry about it (life is too short...).
On the other hand, it did cross my mind to offer to hire you, or someone else that someone near here works with, for editing the paper that I am working on....but decided not to for several reasons:
1: don't want to spend the $ (and you might not want to do it anyway).
2: Not sure if it is a good idea because, even though the point is to have a good English writer and someone outside our group of co-authors edit it, if that person does not have some science/structural geology background...at least editing papers that contain this, then it might not work (I don't actually know whether this is the case)
3: It would take me some additional time to deal with additional editing comments.
4: It should be possible for me and my co-authors to come up with a clear, well-writtem paper...I'm taking it as a challenge.
