Good Evening The amount of money spent on studies would have bought 10x the amount of rebar and structural steel to prop up all the buildings in China, Pakistan and India. Is this a political statement? When it comes to schools and children, yes. I sure hope that the world population learns something from Long Beach 1933, the closest call we have had to a mass calamity involving kids. Let me ask everybody this. After this calamity, will Pakistan expend the resources to protect thier children from such structural collapse? Or will it be business as usual? Rebar is cheap. If the UN wants to act like heroes, buy rebar. Make it available. Comments?
