For those of you in the SF Bay Area on the list of things going on during 2006 for the commerative celebration of the 1906 Earthquake you will be able to watch this program.

"SHOCK WAVES: 100 Years after the 1906 Earthquake"

Project: An hour long TV documentary being produced with CBS-5. The film focuses on the century of progress in understanding the science of earthquakes, increasing public awareness of seismic hazards as well as earthquake preparedness and mitigation, and demonstrating how earthquakes affect the personal lives, culture, economy and development of northern California. To be aired on CBS-5 during the week of the 1906 Centennial, to be followed by a primetime live studio Town Hall broadcast with a team of experts answering viewers' questions

Relevance: provides a story of the science and times of the 1906 earthquake and what we have learned in the subsequent hundred years

Location: CBS-5

Schedule: to be aired during the week of April 16, 2006

Audience: lay public
