Preparedness has never taken on such huge porportions as it has this week. So many obstacles have been overcome and it is truly amazing. I think even GWB has decided to roll up his sleeves and make sure the best job that can be done is being done. Good for him.

I hope things are not as bad as they could be and I have a good feeling about it. But it sure is interesting to watch.

And speaking of watching. I came home yesterday and went to say hello to my daughter who was sitting on her bed with tears running down her face. I said, "what's the matter." She pointed to the TV. She's flying out on Jet Blue to SoCal on Saturday and the flight number for that flight was the same as hers. I was so hoping all would be well for fear she might not want to fly again and said a big WaHoo went the plane landed safe and sound.

I think we've all seen enough of disaster and near disaster for the past three weeks to last a lifetime. I hope the Big One won't arrive for another 10 years. We are about 25 days away from celebrating the 15th anniversary of Loma Prieta. We could do with less celebrating of that nature.
