Howdy from the hills-
The last few days I`ve seen some very astute observations about the mess on the Gulf Coast. I`d like to offer the following; boost the thought processes.

I`ve read on some other forums (I`ve seen the "handle" Petra on two of them!) that, because of the Mississippi River handling so much in the way of exports from the middle of the US, there will always be some kind of port at the river`s mouth. It just might not be anything like the New Orleans we all know.

I`ve also read that, if New Madrid lives up to it`s potential, the whole river delta would be gone anyway. The suggestion was that Corpus Christi would take up the slack. That posting made no mention of Houston or Galveston. Since I`ve never been to any of the three, I can`t give an opinion. Any comments?

Hang on to something solid-

Byron
