Sure, full time for me anyway.

Research takes time, programming takes time, then there's in-house review, beaurocratic (sp?) foot dragging and suchlike. Then it gets sent to the journal for peer review, back for rewriting and/or re-analysis if the first pass didn't suit someone and then off to the author of the paper being challenged (in my case) for his comments.

Granted, I'M not doing anything for much of this time. I was talking about the time from concept to publication.
