Yeah this situation in New Orleans is probably the worst one any of us will ever witness in our lifetimes. We spend so much time on here trying to predict earthquakes and analyze their impacts, but the reality is this is so much worse than any earthquake that has struck CA or might struck CA. The city is completely destroyed and based on what you just said about FEMA they may never be able to rebuild again.

The one thing that we can all take comfort in CA, is that should we have a major earthquake, at least we would be able to camp in our yards, walk to the hospital (if roads were fractured) and maintain some level of health. Being trapped on all sides by water has only compounded this problem exponentially.
