1: You could evaluate Don's prediction record.

2: You could have John V send you Lowell's thesis, find something interesting in it like solar triggering, and try and reproduce it with the same data and methods, and then comment on it (or, if it is in his thesis, FFA, or whatever).

#2 may not be easy to do if you don't have access to the same catalogues and methods.....

Can't think of anything else...maybe I should think about my own work...whether there is anything there with seismicity that could use a look....
