Hmmm....sounds like it is not what I thought... although the question is still whether the reaction with oxygen is just burning (although it sounds like it is not?)....Don emailed me a location that was very different than this one....near a belt of organic Rincon and Monterey Formations....but I guess the link you found must be correct...
