Return to Mammoth Lakes

HI All,

Don and I are taking an adventure trip this coming weekend to revisit Mammoth Lakes and see what if anything is new and enjoy what is already one of the most spectacular vistas in the world. We are going to take two special little one's with us this time too. Sammy and Suzette, the seismic bears. One day Sammy with the help of Suzette will teach children through coloring books about life in SeismoLand. They can oo and ah over the grandness of it all, explain science in very simple terms and talk about earthquake safety and what happens when volcanos erupt. This should be for the 5-9 age range. But we have to take them on an adventure so through the eyes of a child we can learn what they will say and how they will react to what they see. We have to remember too, that in every adult, there's a child hoping to get out, every now and then. Sammy is older than Suzette so he has to teach her some things. He's already been to Parkfield several times and some other places too. But she'll catch on real easy I'm sure.

As for Don and I, there must be a couple rocks we'd like to bring home and I want to BBQ dinner at Lake Mary so I can have more time to view the whiteness of the deforestion around the lake. It won't be the same as being with David Hill, Roy Bailey and John Rogie, Charles Watson and Shan, but we'll make due.
