Hi Roger, No I don't mix the two. They are entirely different. But until I started to observe earthquake sensitives and really pay attention to them I never heard earthquakes or any known sensitivity to them, that I was aware of. In time I found suddenly I did begin to hear what they were hearing and have some other symptoms. It seems from what I have observed, this is a learnable skill. In tracing back and trying to think if I ever had any symptoms before, the only time I can make any association with them, is before Loma Prieta I had vertigo. I went to the doctor thinking I had an inner ear problem and they couldn't find anything wrong with me. So they prescribed anti-vert. I took it for a few weeks and the symptoms left. Then the earthquake came. I can't say for certain it was related, but in the list of symptoms, vertigo has been noted many times. Now for case in point for a true failure, this I think you will enjoy. I had a dream last year about a tsunami in Japan. It was very, very detailed. In the dream I saw an area that is in the northwest of Japan. In the dream it was Earth Day and people were out having fun. To the right was a beach, in the center a four lane road and to the left a train station. I saw people wearing playsuits of white with big orangish red circles on them. I saw some of them on plastic slides going up and down the freeway. (land slides). Then people started running for the train turnstyle and they were looking back toward the ocean and I knew they saw a huge tsunami coming and moments later I knew they all died. In my research I found that Earth Day in America was on 4/22/99. At the same time in Japan they have a holiday where people take two weeks off work and enjoy the springtime. I thought for certain this tsunami was coming from and undersea landslide. As no one seemed to be interested in it from the scientific side, I thought I'd try to see what I could do on the warning of this event. So I was given the name of an American Journalist in Japan. I wrote him and explained what I thought might happen, however, cautioned him, I couldn't say for certain it would, and to be very careful about sending any kind of warnings to anyone. I asked him if perhaps he might talk to the Japanese seismologists and see what they thought. He was very diplomatic in sending out a warning and sent it through his wire systems. Shortly thereafter I started getting e-mail from one person who lived in New York. I swear I thought I was going to have a fire in my e-mail box as he was so very angry. So we waited, Earth Day came and went and nothing happened. The journalist wrote and said his contacts and all said thank you. They gave this event a name, "The Kansai Tsunami." Though earth day of 1999 obviously was not the right year, I still feel one day this event will come to pass, however, after attempting a warning in this way, I don't think I'd do it again, but I have no regrets in that, had it happened, things would have been entirely different. Sometimes you have to go out on a limb to get the best fruit. I've been there, tested the waters and learned a lot in doing so. It was the best kind of failure I've ever had. But you see, warnings can be delivered, accepted graciously and even when an event does not occur, the outcome is not bad. I know of no one else either so brave or so stupid who has gone this way, but my intentions were honest and pure and in that, I was so relieved nothing happened. Today, I choose to be different, as I stated before and though with tsunami's, there is nothing really that can be done, I was glad I went there and today can tell the results. Ah, to live another day. I'll keep at it,one day success for sure. Graciously....Pat
