It's hard to take the guy seriously, however nice and helpful he is, when he frequently picks 20-50 events that turn out the way he likes, but never puts more data together. When challenged why he doesn't do definitive tests, he gives a diary of his activity, his age, and financial hardship as the excuse that he is too busy. But not too busy to compile almost 200 monthly bulletins and post thousands of times a year. Actually, many scientists are similar. If the results are not encouraging, it is real slogging to complete a careful analysis.
