"The road to short-term prediction hopefully is going to be shortened dramatically" - this is where we part ways, I am not sure this is true and you are. Fair enough, we both have to try to use our judgment as best we can, and much of this is guesswork.

As Roger points out, there are easier and harder ways to transfer one's ideas into generally accepted fact, and no prediction method has passed this hurdle yet.
