Well.... I went on about this subject for years since Mammoth had its political problems with USGS... but I see as anyone can that activity in the Mammoth are is agreed even by USGS the be "something" and they acknowledge that areas which were not included are not....For a couple years I was ref'ed to the head of the USGS in the area, but my questions may not have been "scientific" enough for him to answer or perhaps he was so busy doing his civic duty.... who knows...but ALL government employees are public servants! They are paid by our working taxes.......
The Mammoth area is big in tourist bucks and the science commuity has made it known that they "understand" the locals.........what a crock! In the long run Mammoth will either do its thing or not....My guess is 50-50 but it may not happen while I am still around:-)----or maybe it will.......Maz Cerveza (anyone studying Spanish?????(C?)---Guess not!)
