Interesting that you should mention the raptors. Just for what it's worth, there is a group of Cooper's hawks living in a grove just above our home in Southern California. They have been so active - unusually active; like agitated. I have shot wildlife photography for years (if not decades) and I haven't seen such behavior; the behavior lasting throughout the entire day.

The other thing (and not to gross anyone out) is the road kill. I know it's a casual observation, however, there are rural roads that I traverse with regularity. In the last three weeks, the incidents of road kill have been - sadly - greatly elevated. I would estimate the elevation to be as much as 25% to 30%.

I know that these behaviors can be attributed to other causes, (i.e., inceased animal population, construction in the area, etc.)

However, it is logged here in the event that there are developments of further correlation.
