Hi Chris. In as much as San Simeon is most likely still having aftershocks from the M>6.5 quake as well as Parkfield and the quakes in the Avenal area are occurring near the southern end of the rupture of the 1983 Coalinga quake and the Mammoth Lakes area is always having quakes it is quite possible that sooner or later they were all going to occur at the same time.

If something did trigger all of those quakes at this time, what could that something be and how would you prove it? It is one of those things you note, file it, then wait and see if it happens again. Its just another way nature has of making you scratch your head. Take Care…Don in creepy town
