Hi All. After looking over the forecast map what I’m seeing are areas that have already had a main event though not a very large one. To me this indicates that there is a probability that another quake of at least the same magnitude could occur although the odds are not if favor of that happening.

I don’t see this map as being used so much for a main event of a major quake although there might be a case of where some quakes could be considered foreshocks to a much larger event. In those instances it might be used for that case. One such instance were the two M>5.0+ quakes that occurred 15 months and 2 months prior to the Loma Prieta quake.

It will be interesting to see if some TV station starts giving the daily forecast much in the same manner that they give the weather forecast. Take Care…Don in creepy town
