woodpeckers and little people

It was released a few days ago and on the news that the Ivory Bill woodpecker, which had not been seen, or at least not documented for 60 years, was seen and (poorly) filmed in Arkansas over the last year. I think this is pretty wild...the second most exciting biologic story that I have heard in the last deacde...these are not small birds....
The most exciting science story I have heard in the last 10 years (if not ever) is the discovery of Homo Florensis bones in Indonesia (the little people or hobbits). There was an article in the Journal Nature that these people (not our species though) were still around in the 16th century, and even that they could still be around now (although, with all the logging and population increase, they must be in trouble). On 60 minutes shown on Sunday they went to Flores and villagers went to the site of their old village....where their (grandparents?) had seen the little people....theye even had a dance or something wearing furry outfits...

hopefully it was not staged....could be the TV people asked leading questions and then the locals thought they would have some fun with them...
