Chris, Please look at the attached link to the UCSD quake map. In the lower left there is a light blue area where Santa Rosa Island is location. I believe this is your Borderland area, but I want to confirm. I was thinking as I observed this area whether or not seismic activity was usually inside of the light blue area - ie: inside of the Borderland area/region or if there had ever been a series of quakes along the edge of the borderland. I hope I've stated that clearly. Good for you on the roller blading. I don't do well on skates. The last time I tried roller skating I ran into a wall, so I gave it up. I'm better on ice though, especially since they don't have walls.
