I was afraid that was the area you were looking at... my back yard...

(knocking on wood) - I don't think there's much motion on the Newport-Inglewood fault, so I'm not very worried about stress build-up...and subsequent quakes - at least on this fault..

The Palos Verdes fault and the Newport-Inglewood-Rose canyon moves about a range of 1.0 - 5.0mm a year... I know there were some recent studies and the movement just wasn't there...but I can't find the data now..
