Petra...I had a CT scan (at least I think that was what is was) on Monday, although not of my head....I asked...they said it was radiation. No ear tones. Maybe I'll check out a high tension line. I suppose I could take a magnetometer. Remind me next time I'm in Santa Barbara, where I could borrow a magnetometer. But, someone has probably already done this....you could contact a specialist on tinnitus (??) or whatever it is called. Yes, I do believe that eartones are distinct from this. Oh, yeah, I'll find out in early May if there is anything wrong with me...most likely to be something minor...
