Better Definition Of Question

My boo boo, so to speak. Are there any records available, or have any studies
been done to determine micro seismicity and the areal relation to large eqs?
Explanation;
Sometimes the San Jacinto Fault has numerous micros along the fault zone. Some-
times those micros radiate out from the trace. Is there historicity to suggest
that one or the other condition is related to larger seismicity in the region?
Bigger question is this; If a study of this nature has not been done, is it
worthwhile to do one?
