cnn.com says NOAA says evacuate coast within 1000 km

Here is some text from cnn.com. I do not see this on the NOAA web site, and have not seen yet whether a tsunami is actually occurring. Actually, it has been almost 2 hours so if there is to be a tsunami, it should have already arrived within 1000 km. There is usually a series of waves in a tsunami, and the first one is not always the biggest...so if there is a tsunami, stay away from coast until sea quiets down....

OK, I'll watch CNN...even though they made lots of mistakes last time.

"Thailand issued a warning about possible tsunamis after an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.2 hit off Indonesia today. The quake struck along the same fault line as the one that caused December's deadly tsunami. The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration suggested evacuating coastal regions within about 620 miles of the quake's epicenter."
