Quake building where unexpected?

A quick look at USGS map shows a 'cross' pattern from Santa Monica Bay>inland, where. It crosses over northern San Andreas in the vicinity of
Whittier Narrows. See http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs

I look at that map and get an intuitive 'sense' of a large quake (5.0+),
but either offshore in/near SM Bay OR Whittier Narrows; NOT out in the
southern/SE desert -- yet. (Though that's building daily too.)

Have no idea which will come first, but think we'll see that northern area
movement by the end of the year. -- Since I haven't a clue as to magnitude
or time or SPECIFIC location, this isn't a prediction -- just an
observation; but I think we need to watch very carefully, as nobody else
seems to be doing.

FWIW..
