If I may respond to your message to Petra. One reason in favor doing it here is that members have to register to join. Thus you could eliminate all the "repeat offenders."

Although not many people posted their ear tones when you set up a separate site for them, I believe that was because there was confusion at the time about who was actually gathering that ear tone information. Even I erroneously thought that this was an Earthwaves project, and not Petra's, even though she was the person most interested in the data.

No matter who hosts this site, I think three things are imperative. First, that it be a registered site. Second, that its existence somehow be disseminated to a large segment of the Ca. population, and third, that the loonies, who see an impending earthquake in the burnt part of their morning toast be eliminated from the posting population.

Could we give it a whirl?
