Geologic time as it relates to off topic posts . . .

The Earth's crust moves so slow that you kinda need something to talk about while you're waiting around for something to happen. I think Canie is right is wanting to maintain the integrity of the theme of this board. On the otherhand, with regard to Diane's comments, it's interesting to see what other people of similar interest have to say about events of current debate. Specifically, we all come to this board because we are opened minded to certain ideas outside of the mainstream. I'd bet that the similarities between people here aren't only limited to that. So, sharing a comment about something isn't harmful unless it takes things way off course. It's not like we have a major seismic event to grapple with each day.

Also, it appears that on a chat board the language seems a little more harsh than it would if it were spoken. That might lend to some of the debate here.

(So - as long as I'm off the subject of earthquakes . . . I'd like everyone to know I got my client an acquittal today on three felonies!!!!) OK - I'm a sicko . . . :-)

Let's do our best to keep it to quakes, but share a comment or two while the Earth's crust is waiting to do something!
