Re: CRITICAL EQ WINDOWS - Alaska

Hi Diane and All,

I woke up last night at 3:11AM for some unknown reason and not long after I was wide awake I heard a series of very long distance left ear tones. The initial one was quite long, but almost faint to hear as the distance was so great. It was followed by a sequence of 5 of the same kinds of sounds. The longest first, then progressively shorter. My instant reaction was that a quake of quite some magnitude was going to hit Alaska from between Anchorage and Fairbanks.

I did not hear the earthquake of 5.4 at all, so these sounds were not related in any way. However, having had some time to think it over, the 5.4 quake today may be a foreshock to this larger event with a heavy aftershock series. As I have never heard a sound from so far away, judging the timing element is impossible, but if one uses the scale of other ear toned events, then most likely it could occur at any time or within a month. I used to like to use ten days as a general meter, but find all to often I sort of jump the gun and it happens a few days later, so that's why I'm giving 30 days on this one.

I've had a bad feeling about this ever since I heard the sounds and a foreboding that goes with it, so I'm trying to think hopeful thoughts that what could happen won't.

If anyone else has anything to add to this, I'd very much appreciate hearing any from anyone else as to any indications they may have.

Thanks....Pat
