Re: Chris&Cathryn&Petra: on eartones |
Hi Ara, Extending to you an olive branch. Now to your questions. I hear many long tones. Just now I posted about one that lasted 12 seconds. I do not count the trail off any more. Some of those trail offs had me hearing tones for as long as 20 seconds. I think everyone is different, re: what they hear and how long they hear it. Some people who have never heard an ear tone dismiss the idea outright, so you can imagine their views when trying to link these tones to earthquakes. Certain ear tones wake me up. I've had that experience recently, and posted it. It has to be a major tone, else I would sleep through it. In my groggy state, I try to write down the essentials, but sometimes I have to rely on memory. Fortunately, my memory is good. Whenever I get an ear tone, it is usually accompanied by a hearing block in the affected ear. Sometimes I mention this block, but only when all hearing in that ear is reduced only to a tone, and I can hear nothing else going on in that ear. Once, and only once, I had simultaneous tones in both ears. The results were not consistent, i.e., one was louder than the other, and one was longer than the other. They also had different pitches.
