No one has been more of a fool in disseminating urban legends than I. It is embarrassing when someone directs you to snopes.com or urbanlegends.com, where you find your cool story is not so cool at all.

Don't take it personally. Be glad there are people on top of these things. I, too, was taken in by Don's story, forwarded it to my husband, who then set me straight.

It hurts a little, especially when the story is so cool. But truth will out.
