CA Geology Map for Ear Tone People

Hi All,

I found this map the other day and shared it with my ear tone group and I thought I would pass this link around for anyone else who might be interested. I've said all along that geology plays a large role in determining locations for future epicenters of earthquakes and to understand why a particular sound doesn't belong or does belong to a given area, this map will help.

As an example, a person living near the San Francisco Bay Area having a 5 second ear tone would look in two places primarily: The Sierra's, such as the Mammoth Lakes area and south to Parkfield. In the world of ear tones what separates the two is the frequency of the sound. If its high pitched and somewhat loud it belongs to the Sierra's, but if low pitched, it's closer to Parkfield.

For those interested, I hope it helps.
