seismic crisis at Piton de la Fournaise
A new seismic crisis started at Piton de la Fournaise volcano at about
13h local time with about 100 events within 90 minutes. After that the
crisis weakend down but restarted at 16h38 local time and is actually
still going on with several hundreds of seismic events.
Strong deformations are observed at the same time by the tiltmeter and
extensometer network.
An eruption may start within the next hours.
