Japan Quake Swarms

Don,

This link gives you a local map of my area. The quakes are 1-5M in the last 30 days, above 30 km. The middle two longitude lines are 135 and 136. Between these you can see two swarms on land. At the bottom of longitude 137 you can see an ocean swarm which is the continuing aftershocks from 7M quakes of Sept, 2004.

The top land swarm participated in the 1995 Hanshin quake, but is definitely not ready to retire. The bottom land swarm may be implicated in an upcoming 9M quake. The bottom swarm suddenly stopped in 2000, and that year after the total quakes went down to a low of 476 (compared to 1281 right now) there was the 7M Tottori quake.

It's really impressive how you can read my mind, Don. You must be psychic.
