Hi Todd. As far as I know the fault for the quake in 1986 has never been identified. There are a couple of faults in the area, but they were unable to identify it at the surface.

That quake is 7.8 miles northwest of the M>4.4 quake. It doesn’t appear to be associated with the same system, but not knowing the dip on the fault the quake occurred on it would be hard to say that it did or didn’t. Take Care…Don in creepy town
