Prof Romino,

I am attaching a link that lists several colleges and universities in Italy. There should be some in there that list universities that have seismological data, which should be available on the web. As you know the area's nearest you far better than I, some of these should be familiar to you.

The link is about a geo-physical conference held in Italy in 1998, however the professors are in seismology and you should be able to find them by doing a web search.

In the list of universities you should be able to locate one that has earthquake lists for both local and internatinal earthquakes. Hopefully the information is available in Italian, so it should be easy for you to read.

Though it certainly is not a requirement that newcomers to our board tell us a little bit about themselves, we surely would like to know where you
obtained your degree and your education to become a professor. As you state that you are now a painter, I would assume that you retired from your prior academic life. So if you are in a mood to let us know a little about you and your life in Italy, it would be a pleasant way for us to get to know you a little better.

I hope the above helps you.

Pat
